I Love Ornate Details...

Maybe your living room looks like this...
Okay, maybe your dream living room looks like this!
Interior - Ralph Lauren
But like so many of us, you have a simple wardrobe that works for your everyday life:
all clothes - L.L.Bean
But if you pay attention to the details, you can incorporate that style that you love into your everyday outfits.  A touch of lace, a bit of muted floral, and some silk in the place of where many of us would wear cotton.
Cardigan – Moschino, skirt – Warehouse, blouse - Uniqlo
So you have quite a few outfits that are still very low-key, appropriate for your life, but still include that touch of luxe that warms your heart.

Keep to the same philosophy for your accessories - scarves can be soft and textured, your everyday tote bag can have some pretty details, and metallic shoes are always handy.
Scarf – Yuh Okano, loafers – Born, bag – MeDusa

And your jewelry can be filigreed, bejeweled, and a perfect reflection of your inner style.
Crystal stud earrings - YooLa, bracelet – Gag and Lou, ring – KeiVanKash, hoop earrings – YooLa (boticca), watch – Michael Kors, brooch – Adriana Orsini, monogram necklace – Argento Vivo, stud earrings – Kendra Scott

  1. Love this as well. I looked at that cardy and then at my lacy TShirt, which are the same colour and realized that some days I want to be a chalet, and other days I go off and be this ornate room! LOL... That's why the basics are so good to have...I don't have to chuck anything out because I'm in a different mood.

  3. Yesterday I spent (probably too much) time on Pinterest looking for my "personality room." This is such a great series! Having a visual representation of my style helps so much when confronted with a store full of possibilities. Thank you!!

  4. This color scheme is where I am drawn this spring...love the subdued neutrals. Gorgeous skirt and Kendra Scott studs. All just beautiful.

  5. Oh, my gosh. Love. I'm mad for all the extras for my neutral core wardrobe. This would really work for me. I'll always add in a Breton striped shirt, but that would still work. Breton stripes go with everything to me. :-)

  6. I love how you stay on task. For me, the impossible part is narrowing it all down to one choice.
